America has been rethinking the hamburger for couple of years now. That comes with re-imaginings of what a burger joint should be. The newest entrant to the nouveau burger place lineup in Brooklyn is the Shake Shack joining the bevvy of shops and dining establishments at Downtown Brooklyn. Gone are the diner-esque chrome, the blinding contrasts up garish color. In are clean lines, table service, and traditional hamburgur cuisine Americana, with a dash of innovation. New York has great food, no doubt. Restaurants in Brooklyn carry its part of this tradition well and with pride in their establishments. The Shake Shack, a restaurant with a beguilingly prosaic name, promises to do no less.
