The time has come for another WAMventures forum, this time, to discuss and educate on equity crowdfunding & alternative fundraising models. Many of you have come to know WAMventures during the course of growing and scaling your business- the company has helped thousands of women and diverse business leaders master core skills, marketing, and time & resource management and increase the odds of overall business success. Attendees have the opportunity to engage with speakers and fellow business leaders from around the community while developing the ability to maximize equity crowdfunding, VC, and alternative fundraising returns.

The event will take place Thursday, June 16, from 5:30-9 pm at Thoughtworks, located on the 15th floor at 99 Madison Avenue. The event will be moderated by WAMventures founder Veronica Guzman. The presentations will be followed by a pitch session and networking opportunities. To apply to pitch your business idea, submit a 1-page executive summary here by June 12.

Attendees will gain insight from three industry groundbreakers:

Pelli Wang is the Principal for leading equity crowdfunding platform SeedInvest. Her experience in the NYC start-up community is vast- she was part of the TechStars Accelerator with Lean Startup Machine and worked for Capmark and Barclays Capital.

Erica Duignan Minnihan is managing partner at the private venture investment network 1000 Angels. She is a graduate of Columbia Business School and UCLA.

Georgia P. Quinn is the CEO and co-founder of iDisclose, an app that helps entrepreneurs prepare disclosure documents for crowdfunding. She has been noted as a Top Female Attorney in NYC by Thomson-Reuters.
